Lawrence Brock

Lawrence Brock, 85, of DuQuoin, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2000 at 10 a.m. at Marshall Browning Hospital.
	Mr. Brock had been a State Meat Inspector and a member of Sunfield United Methodist Church.  He belonged to the Sunfield United Methodist Church Mens Club, Quartet and was a Sunday School teacher and Superintendent for many years.  He was a county commissioner for three years.  He loved woodworking and sang for many different events through his life.
	He was born January 10, 1915 at DuQuoin, the son of William Raymond and Frieda (Wilson) Brock.  He married Esther Bailey on March 17, 1939 at Perryville, MO.
	Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Paul Tiny and Marsha Brock of DuQuoin; one daughter and son-in-law, Martha and Frank Morgenstern of DuQuoin; one brother, Larry Brock of Phoenix, AZ; one sister, Margie Hartsock of Cobden; five grandchildren, Paul Morgenstern, Brock Morgenstern, Sarah Brock, Stacey Brock and David Brock, all of DuQuoin.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one brother.
	Funeral services were Saturday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at Sunfield United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Dunn officiating.  Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park at DuQuoin.
	Friends were able to call at Neal-McClure Funeral Home Friday, July 28 from 6 until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at which time visitation was moved to the church.
	Memorials may be made to Sunfield United Methodist Church.
